APRIL’ 19

12

I had great news from Willa’s teachers today. Marie-Pierre told me that Willa didn’t cry at all today during drop-off or later in the morning. However, she would not let Marie-Pierre or Perrine help her on the potty. And, as a result, she peed in her pants just as I arrived but I didn’t mind at all! Maybe, we’re finally turning a corner here.

I am a few pages away from completely using up my bullet journal. It is the first journal that I’ve filled up in a very long time. I actually don’t remember another time. I have always loved journals, diaries, planners, and notebooks. In past years, I have acquired plenty of them but I could never seem to see them through. Planners never quite met my exact needs. I would go through periods of not wanting to write in a journal and then feel very discouraged by the blank pages- the physical incarnation of lost opportunity and guilt. The bullet journal though seems to be flexible enough to meet all my needs. Sometimes, I just need a to-do list. A place to take notes from something that I am reading, menu plans, reminders, a calendar and space to do a little lettering. It’s great. I have finally found something that works. And, of course, it is so basic and simple. A notebook you like the feel and look of, ditto for pens, and even some markers if you want to get fancy.
